And I’m Set

So, just as I predicted, I spent yesterday virtually packing on Polyvore.  This is what I’ve come up with so far, except that white sweater with the zippers, I have it in a dark green, not white.

Long Weekend Away
Now, I just need to actually wash said articles of clothing and put them in a suitcase.
Yesterday was abs and shoulders day, and I hate that day because my shoulders are by far the weakest area of my body.  Phase two starts on Monday, get excited everyone!  Once I got home from work the majority of my evening was occupied by shoveling dinner in my face as fast as possible, some wine, and my favorite night of television; Vampire Diaries, Greys, and Private Practice.  I was also trying to decide if I need a new pair of riding boots in my life.  I still haven’t decided if I should pull the trigger and spend way too much money.  We’ll see what happens.
I really have no plans for the weekend, which as of lately isn’t shocking I know, but I don’t want to sit inside doing completely nothing.  Maybe I’ll figure something out, if not it will probably include a lot of Redbox again.  Oh well.  Happy Friday!

My New Way to Pack

In exactly one week, I’ll be heading out to the Mid-West for a long 4 day weekend with my boo.  That means, I should probably start packing this weekend.  Or at least do my laundry, so that all my clothes are clean to pack.  With the first three days of weather looking like this;

I’ll probably be packing my warmest sweaters, and giant puffy North Face jacket that Darren wants to burn when I’m not paying attention.  I’m a visual packer though, so I need to see what my outfits will look like once put together, or I end up bringing 15 pairs of shoes, 7 pairs of pants, and 37 tops, for four days.  I need to make sure I won’t hate it when I pull it out of my suitcase.  Luckily for me, I discovered I can pull into Polyvore actual clothing items that I own, and make up outfits.  I have two put together so far, and I for-see a lot more outfit creations in my future.

For example, here’s what I’ve picked out for our dinner and a movie date to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

No, my actual black booties are not Loubs, but you get the idea

That peach blouse may get switched with a newly acquired purple silk blouse, but we’ll see.  Ok, I’ll probably pack both, who are we kidding.  And, if  there happens to be snow in the forecast, this outfit will do nicely for schlepping around outdoors looking at houses.

I suspect this will help me with my over packing problem immensely, and it’s kind of fun!  Anyway, moving on.  After taking last week off to recover from my muscle injury in my back, I hopped right back into week 4 of Phase 1 this week.  You would think my muscles would remember the workouts after only a week off, but no, I am just as sore as I was in the beginning.  Especially in the chest area, why do push-ups never get easier?  I’m excited to start Phase 2 next week, but my lady friends who just started Phase 3 are kind of scaring the crap out of me.  Their workouts sound awful.

Alright, I’m off to go look at houses online, and create more outfits on Polyvore!  Happy Thursday!

Almost There

Weeeeeeeeeee! It’s my last day at work until December 27! Of course, I will be working from my mom’s living room in PA tomorrow, but that doesn’t really count because I can do so in sweatpants.  Last I talked to Dar, he was about to enter the great state of PA from Ohio, driving on about 3 hours sleep, and getting cranky.  I told him to try to figure out how to fit a nap into his day so he’s still awake when I get home at 10 tonight.

In typical pre-vacation fashion, I went from having 0 work to do all week to having 30 things to do before the end of the day tomorrow.  Lovely, at least today will hopefully go by quickly.  After work, it’s home to pick up Pumpkin, my 5 bags of clothes (not even kidding) and then up to PA we go.  Anyone have any tips to keep my cat calm in the car?  Our last few adventures she crapped in her crate within the first 30 minutes and cried the whole time.  I’d like to avoid that if possible.

Yesterday I fit in a full body lifting session at lunch, and today I have an appointment for some um bikini wearing maintenance.  That should be tons of fun.  Alright, well I should probably get started on the mountain of work awaiting me.  Happy Thursday y’all!

Come Onnnn Holiday

Well, if my commute this morning is any indication of what traffic will be like later, it’s not looking so bad.  There was absolutely no one on the road and I made great time on my drive in.  Last night however, not so much, but I’ll try to remain positive for right now.

My cross-fit workout ended up getting cancelled yesterday, so instead I did 2.2 miles on the treadmill and the pyramid push-up workout.  I again used the 5k sport training course that simulates hills and was huffing and puffing up that 3% incline.  The 56 push-ups again kicked my ass, and I felt like I had spaghetti for arms for the rest of the day.

I headed home after work to tackle the packing situation for my trip to PA, and I’m pretty sure I packed my entire closet. I couldn’t decide what I was going to be in the mood to wear, so I brought everything.  I packed 4 pairs of jeans and 2 pairs of leggings for a 4 day trip.  I have problems.  In my packing though, I realized my closet consists mostly of blues and grays, so mom feel free to buy me colorful clothing items for Christmas.

Other things I accomplished last night?  I bought two new bathing suits for my trip in two weeks.  I was only going to get one, but then I remembered I’m going to Vegas in April and a sequins bikini is most definitely necessary.

Tropical Getaway

I figure, with those two suits, along with the Tory Burch sandals I scored at a Nordstroms sale not too long ago I am set as far as buying new things.  Now, I just hope they get here on December 5 like VS has promised me.
After I managed to squeeze the last clothing items into my large suitcase, I got around to painting my nails.  I have a new obsession, and it is the OPI Gold Shatter nail polish.  So far I’ve done red and gold, and now purple and gold.
The red and gold combo will absolutely be broken out for Christmas.  Alrighty, I’m off to countdown the hours until I can hit the road! I hope it’s around 2.  Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Birthday’s and More Birthday’s

So I enjoyed my egg thingy more yesterday for breakfast than I did for dinner on Wednesday.  Then again, I enjoy most things more when the flavors have had a day or two to meld together.  Either way, next time I make an egg bake, I’ll probably use bacon, because what isn’t better with bacon?

Yesterday was crazy at work.  I have a huge project, that came to me a giant mess, due on Monday.  Throw in a goodbye lunch outing, and a baby shower, and I felt like I was at work for five minutes.  None the less, I still made it out the door on time because I had places to be.

Yesterday was three of my friends birthday’s, and a giant group of us was meeting at Spider Kelly’s in Clarendon to celebrate.  I came bearing a piece of baby shower cake to give to the birthday girl.  None other than my roommate Danielle!

Happy birthday pretty lady!  I hope you had a fabulous time, and continue to have fun this weekend despite my absence.).  I left at 8 after three beers, because I needed to go home and pack for my weekend of fun.

Tonight I’m having dinner with my mom and sister, and I *think* I finally get to meet a hilarious lady I’ve been talking to on Twitter for months now!  Just have to make it through a half day of work first.

What are you all up to this weekend?
